Our new ILEC (International Legal English Certificate) courses in Madrid start in November to prepare for the ILEC exam which is scheduled on the 25 of February 2016.  To read more about the benefits of sitting the ILEC exam please see here.  In addition the course will be to prepare candidates who wish to sit the TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills) exam.

Our courses will be led by qualified english solicitor and experienced legal English trainer James Stephenson at our training centre at Bárbara de Braganza, 11, 2º, 28004 Madrid  which is in barrio Salamanca very close to the Colegio de Abogados.

Our courses are designed to bring the best out of the student, focusing on their ability to express themselves orally and in writing and developing their ability to operate confidently when dealing with legal issues in an English speaking environment. Each course will cover areas including:

– The Practice of Law in common law jurisdictions
– Company Law Formation, Dissolution and Capitalisation
– Real Property Law
– Intellectual Property Law
– Employment Law
– Competition Law
– Contract Law, Formation and Termination
– International Sale of Goods Agreements

Students will be introduced to new legal english vocabulary, including common legal collocations, legal phrasal verbs and prepositions through practical exercises.  Our classes are designed to be dynamic and develop students confidence through practical exercises and roleplays.

Our current courses are due to commence as follows:

Option 1
Hours: Every Tuesday and Thursday between 20:00 a 22:00.
Start: 26 of September 2016.
Finish: 12 of April 2016 (a total of 30 hours).
Price: 449 euros.
Optional Exam: 14 of May 2016

Option 2

Hours: Every Monday and Wednesday between 20:00 a 22:00.
Start: 22 of February 2016.
Finish: 11 of April 2016 (a total of 30 hours).
Price: 449 euros.
Optional Exam: 14 of May 2016

Students will be provided with course materials produced by us to prepare them for the exam, the cost of this is included in the course fee.
